Hi, My name is Macoumba Ndiaye, from Senegal living In Finland for 11 years, I’m a painter, musician, songwriter, and art manager. I could share my career in two parts between Senegal and Finland.

My experience with visual art is about 25years and my favourite style is painting abstract and sculpture on canvas. The theme I’m using is mostly based on African daily life and happenings, families, relationships, also my own personal feelings and experiences. I’m expressing myself in my work as painting poetry by the colours, forms, and moves.

I like to write down poetry and try to realize it in painting. It is such fun. I could mention a few of my poetries like:

-The voice of the voiceless 

-Niun ak Yeen ( we and them) poetry in Wolof

– Coumba Sire( the orphan girl) 

Which eventually became songs since I made them in my music.

I kept many Exhibitions and spectacles in Senegal, Ivory Coast, France, Spain, Sweden, Finland, Germany just to name a few.
